At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, businesses and individuals alike faced unprecedented challenges in managing health-related data. There was a growing need for a secure, easy-to-use platform to track and share immunization and test results. UnityLink sought to fill this gap by creating an app that would empower users to securely store and share their health records, whether for personal use, business verification, or healthcare provider access. Newbird was tasked with building an intuitive, secure, and scalable solution.

Newbird collaborated with UnityLink to design and develop a mobile app and supporting web platform that would meet the needs of three distinct user groups: individuals, businesses, and healthcare providers. Our approach focused on creating a seamless user experience, backed by blockchain technology to ensure data privacy and security. Strategy
Newbird assisted UnityLink with defining its brand identity from the ground up. This included developing a name that captured the app’s mission—empowering users through virus test results and vaccination records. We also created a logo and visual branding elements that reflected the app’s secure, professional, and healthcare-focused nature. The result was a strong, recognizable brand that aligned perfectly with UnityLink’s mission to help businesses, healthcare providers, and individuals navigate the pandemic with confidence.

Development
The UnityLink mobile app was designed to simplify health data management for individuals, businesses, and healthcare providers, offering a secure, user-friendly platform that meets the diverse needs of each group.
For individual users, the app allowed secure uploading and viewing of test results and vaccination certificates, as well as the ability to scan QR codes to verify immunity status and share health records. With various subscription tiers available, users could select the plan that best suited their needs.
For businesses, the premium subscription on the app allowed tracking of immunity status across employees and customers, providing detailed statistics on the number of individuals’ immunity records. Business owners could also scan others’ QR codes and view data for specific time frames—daily, weekly, or monthly—offering insights into immunity trends and overall scanning activity.
For healthcare providers, Newbird developed a secure portal to upload unlimited test results and vaccination certificates directly to patients’ UnityLink apps. This enabled contactless service and real-time data sharing, improving patient care and ensuring seamless interactions.
Web Design &
Development
Newbird worked closely with UnityLink to create a ReactJS-based website that supported both the app’s features and the broader UnityLink brand. The website’s design emphasized clarity and simplicity, ensuring users could easily access information about the app’s features and benefits. The platform was built to integrate seamlessly with the mobile app, providing a smooth and responsive experience on all devices.
