Yumtein entered the market as a startup brand selling whey protein candy in the form of gummy bears. While the concept was strong and the product was already converting at a respectable 1.89%, the existing Shopify website lacked the polish, storytelling, and visual consistency of an established consumer brand. The site relied heavily on bright colors, minimal structure, and limited content, which made it difficult to clearly communicate Yumtein’s value proposition, build trust, or support long-term growth.

Approach
Our work with Yumtein began with strategy and extended through brand development, website redesign, and full-scale digital marketing. Rather than focusing on surface-level improvements, we approached the project holistically, aligning brand, UX, and conversion strategy to support both immediate sales and long-term brand equity. The goal was to transform Yumtein from a promising startup into a recognizable, trusted name in the functional snack space.

Alongside the website redesign, Newbird helped Yumtein clarify its brand foundation, including tone of voice, core messaging, and key USPs, so it felt fun, fitness-forward, and credible across touchpoints. That foundation shaped everything from on-site copy to marketing creative and packaging direction, and helped land on “Whey Better Gummy Bears.”

Newbird redesigned and developed the Yumtein Shopify website from the ground up, covering the homepage, collection pages, product detail pages, and the full checkout journey.

Where the previous site relied on minimal copy and scattered visuals, the redesigned experience clearly explains Yumtein’s benefits, ingredients, and differentiators. Key USPs are surfaced throughout the site, supported by clean layouts, intentional color use, and strong calls-to-action.

Navigation and overall UX were significantly improved through a streamlined menu, clearer category structure, and more intuitive pathways to purchase. The shop and product detail pages were redesigned to support conversion, featuring enhanced product descriptions, customer reviews, related product recommendations, and clearer nutritional callouts. A subscription-first model was implemented to encourage recurring purchases and support long-term customer value.

Following the website relaunch, Newbird led a coordinated digital marketing push designed to scale awareness and revenue. This included SEO, email flows and campaigns, Google Ads, paid social advertising, influencer partnerships, and affiliate marketing.
In 2024, Yumtein’s website generated approximately $30K in online sales with a 1.89% conversion rate (prior to re-launch).
Through ongoing optimization and cross-channel marketing, Yumtein’s online sales grew more than 5×, reaching approximately $200K in 2025. During this period, the website’s conversion rate increased to 3.34%, while overall sessions quadrupled—demonstrating both improved traffic quality and a stronger on-site experience.

Rebrand
After a successful first year of growth, Newbird partnered with Yumtein on a second evolution of the brand in early 2026. This relaunch included a refined logo, updated packaging, redesigned retail boxes, and supporting brand assets to elevate Yumtein to the next stage of its growth. The rebrand reinforced Yumtein’s positioning as a serious player in the functional snack space while maintaining the fun, approachable personality that customers loved.
