When you’ve been in business since 1958, you understand how important it can be to keep evolving with the times. At least that’s how it was for Lenco Lumber, a third-generation home improvement company. They came to us with plans to expand from a local business to operate on a national scale. Yet, they didn’t want to completely leave their hometown brand recognition behind. Together we’d set out to upgrade key growth factors, without losing their roots.

Approach

Our approach started with early discovery sessions between the client and our team. We’d need to work from the inside out in order to help Lenco reposition and grow in its market with big-box competitors. Together we’d begin to build the foundation they’d need in order to meet their goals. From competitor analysis to defining their personas and messaging—we honed in on who LENCO was, and is becoming.

Branding

A holistic, brand foundation was key for Lenco’s evolution. Before we looked to change their visual identity, we focused on better understanding their market and perfecting their messaging. We’d learn as much as we could about what their competitors were saying and where Lenco could stand out from the crowd. After we developed their unique selling proposition, brand words, values, mission statement, and origin story, we further defined their target personas and their shopping journeys. Most importantly we decided on their new name: Lenco Supplies. It was more reflective of their large product offering, in addition to the lumber that started it all.

Lenco needed a modern, user-friendly website that could support their national expansion while retaining local charm. We focused on developing a responsive, easy-to-navigate site with optimized load times and a seamless user experience. Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) techniques were employed to enhance user engagement and drive sales. The new website improved user satisfaction, decreased bounce rates, and significantly increased online sales and conversion rates.

We took an outdated website and turned it into a modern, optimized Shopify site.
